At the heart of this Nikon 6K camera is a 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor designed for video. It records internally in 6K at up to 60p , with the option to downscale to 1080p or upscale to 240p. Every project finds its ideal frame rate and definition, whether it's a short documentary, a music video, or an independent film. Dynamic range exceeds 15 stops, maintained across both standard ISO sensitivities of 800 and 6400. The image retains its depth, even in challenging lighting conditions.

RED color science is now integrated directly into the Nikon ZR. The exclusive R3D NE codec offers maximum flexibility in post-production, with the ability to combine footage with an existing RED workflow. For tight deadlines, other formats are available: ProRes, H.265, or H.264. The choice depends on the application, without any loss of visual consistency.

Shooting comfort is enhanced by a large 4-inch touchscreen covering the DCI-P3 color space. The 16:10 aspect ratio allows for detailed viewing, with the ability to load up to ten LUTs visible in real time.
